Q. What if I am in another program? Should I quit and join you?

A. That really depends on your personal situation. If you are happy with the results of other business and your expectations are being met, then there may be no reason for you to quit your other program. Sometimes you can have two direct sales businesses where the products will compliment each other. The choice is yours!

Q. How much will it cost me to get started?

A. Bare minimum, $39.95 to get started and each month after, plus shipping. This is a monthly committment. You will receive a new scent each month and you can present this to your customers. The COTM club sparks interest, as a new scent is always intriguing to candle lovers.

Q. How much money can I make?

A. That it entirely up to you! It all depends on your motivation and your business strategies you put in place. I managed to recruit 6 new distributors my first five weeks! My focus has been primarily team building and my strategy for building my team has proven to be successful. I have presented the product to my friends and had a great response at my open house. This is a new product in my area and I am using that to my advantage. Everyone absolutely loves this product and the fact that candles and bath products are consumable is to my advantage!

Q. How soon will I make money?

A. Again, that depends entirely on you. Many people will make money as soon as they receive their first COTM and they begin to take the product around to their friends and use the 'smell and sell' technique.

Q. How do I build my business?

A. We have a system that will work for anyone - the part timer, full timer, those who love to recruit others and those who don't. The key to building your business is to find what fits your style and personality, put your nose to the grindstone and move forward. Our training will teach you how to find what will work for you.

I am personally focusing on all three areas for maximum profits: retail, fundraising and team building.    However, my primary focus is team building and sharing this opportunity so others can share in the success.

Retailing can be done through - friends, family, open houses, home parties and boutiques, country fairs and street markets, business expos and personal sales while you are running errands during your routine day.

Fundraisers - sports teams, school PTA's / PTO's, church groups, youth groups, dance studios, non-profit organizations, school bands, etc.

Sponsoring Others - I will teach you how to sponsor people that come to you and are ready to start a business.

Q. How can I find leads?

A. People who will be interested in your business are everywhere! I talk to everyone about the opportunity and offer them the chance to sign up if they want to. However, I prefer people who show interest in the product and business opportunity and come to me.

Working with leads and people that find me online is a much more desirable method of doing business. If you are interested, I will teach you a system for developing an online presence with a personal website. This isn't mandatory for success but certainly enables your business to take off at a much more accellerated speed!

Q. What if I only have 5 -10 hours a week to work my business?

A. Believe it or not, it really isn't the quantity of time that matters, it's the quality of time. Reading your email and the company website may be educational but it won't produce an income unless you are willing to pound the pavement or get on the phone to produce sales. I can teach you how!

Q. I don't want to talk to people I know, can I still be successful with this?

A. Yes, you can. Although I encourage you to at least share the product with your friends and family. Believe it or not, once they try the product they will thank you!

Q. Can I sell my candles online? Do they drop ship?

A. Yes, that is one of the aspects of this company that is so appealing. They recently designed an online ordering system so now your customers can go directly to your website and purchase from you. The product will go directly to the customer and you will receive a commission check in the mail. The product never touches your fingertips in this case. Also, you can use this feature to your advantage when doing fundraising. If you choose to put your business information on the bottom of each jar candle, this will enable the people that purchased candles for the fundraiser to get on your website and order more of these delicious gourmet candles.

Q. What other items should I purchase from the company?

A.   It is important to purchase brochures so you can get the word out. I attach a scent sample to each brochure and present this to my friends and potential customers. Postcards are also very handy for keeping in touch with my potential recruits. Door hangers are also offered through the company if you are interested in letting people in your surrounding neighborhoods that you have an awesome product for them to enjoy. All of these are considered sales aids and are a tax write off.

Q. I have small children and / or homeschool my children. Can I still build a successful business?

A. I have 4 children between the ages of 12 & 1. Direct sales has provided my children with the opportunity to participate and learn business skills. I have the older children attend parties with me, place stickers on brochures and flyers, help me set up and clean up and keep items in order. They have a wonderful time helping me and are a great source of encouragement and motivation.

Can you build your business with small children? ABSOLUTELY! This business embraces the whole family and all members can be actively involved to some degree. Everyone gets so excited when I make a sale and when a new shipment of product arrives. I am able to work around my family's schedule and find balance in this business.
